ALUMINIUM SECURITY COVER

Construction is a box section steel perimeter frame with two main arched cross bracing aluminium struts and two smaller cross bracing struts supporting an aluminium skin central section, between two quarter round aluminium side sections. This makes for a very strong cover, that you can walk on if you need to.
The cover fits flush on to the rear galvanised capping of the load area and covers the whole area. The arched shape of the cover gives you an added clearance of a minimum of 125mm above the galvanised capping when the cover is closed.
The cover hinge is a full length "piano" type hinge.
When the cover is opened it is supported on a steel leg. The steel leg has a safety stop on it, which fits into a steel support bracket. When the cover is closed the steel leg fits into a J shaped holder.
When it is fully opened it goes up to a height of 750mm above the galvanised capping edge, which means you can get into the load area under it. You can also set it open at an interim height of 500mm.
The cover is fitted with a Protex heavy duty adjustable stainless steel security catch, fixed with stainless steel bolts, with a heavy duty Best padlock. The key is suited with the spare wheel roof top locking cable.

The aluminium cover can be removed if required and a canvas tilt fitted.
